Setting the Vision
I read somewhere, "If you don't know where you are going, any road will take you there." The number one quality that sets great leaders apart from ordinary ones is "vision". By vision, I don't mean that you always set out to change the world (though you can), but that you are clear about what you want to do or accomplish. The "how" of how exactly will you realize your vision often gets clearer over a period of time. It is perfectly fine to not know everything beforehand as long as you are clear about the outcome you seek. In this session, I'll cover the importance and art of setting your vision.

Building an Outcome Driven Organization
Your job is not to make the horse drink the water but to make it thirsty. A novice salesperson spews features and promises like a dragon blows fire. Whereas good salespeople always know that persuading a prospect to buy your product is never done by pushing them or bombarding them with more information. Instead, it is done by helping them visualize how beautiful and easy their life would become once they have your product/service.

Building Organizational Focus
Focus is the art of filtering out the noise and directing your attention to the task at hand. When it comes to personal productivity, focus is usually the prime qualitative factor that separates the good from great. When it comes to running a business though, it’s not just an individual’s focus but the collective focus of the enterprise that plays a huge role in the growth and success of a company. Knowing where to direct your scarce resources is only possible if the whole company is focused on realizing the vision

Mastering the Art of Communication
I read somewhere that you can get anything done from anyone as long as you can make them feel that it’s their idea. And that’s the key. Persuasive communication is not forcing your perspective on the other person or constantly pestering them to do what you want them to do. Instead, it’s simply about getting them to see the world through your eyes. Once they have the same perspective as yours, all conflict disappears.

The Art of Marketing
Simply put, marketing is making space in the hearts and minds of potential customers. It is the art of using intelligence to not only grab the attention of the consumers but also creating a connection so they think of you when they need something that your kind can provide.

Building a Strategic Business Plan
If you can’t explain what your business does in one line, chances are the business is either not focused or clear enough about where it is going. While there are numerous success stories of business-plan-on-a-napkin, it pays to think through what will it take to succeed. It helps to reflect upfront on what and who you are up against. Build and they will come is the mantra that no longer works. For a business to succeed, it must operate as one fine cohesive machine and the idea of a business plan is to know what this machine will look like and the various parts it requires to move.
